A Little About What I Do.
Hey, I'm Jerry Chukundah. Here's a Little About What I Do.
Hi, I'm Jerry Chukundah, a software developer who enjoys building things, exploring ideas, and finding ways to use technology to solve problems.
I've been working in tech for several years now, mainly in frontend development. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to work on different projects, collaborate with talented people, and contribute to building digital products for businesses.
Currently, I work with Chigisoft, a software company operating in Nigeria and Canada. My work involves building websites and web applications, turning designs into functional products, and making sure the final experience works well for the people using it.
I've contributed to projects for businesses in the real estate and engineering procurement industries, built user interfaces for products like Flitaa, Skyewallet, and Landpay, and worked on Chigisoft's website. I've also been involved in implementing design systems to help create more consistent experiences across products.
These projects have given me the opportunity to work on different challenges and understand more about what goes into building a good digital product. It's one thing to make something work, but it's another to make it useful, easy to navigate, and enjoyable to use.
More Than Just Coding
Although frontend development is my primary area of work, my interests go beyond writing code.
I'm interested in product design, product management, entrepreneurship, and the business side of technology. I enjoy thinking about how products come to life, why people use them, and what makes some solutions more effective than others.
I also enjoy working with Figma and exploring how design and development can come together to create better digital experiences.
Over time, I've found myself becoming more interested in the entire process of building a product, from the initial idea and design to development and the experience users eventually have with it.
That curiosity has also pushed me to explore ideas of my own.
One of these is Socialspazar, a gift-sending platform I'm working on. The idea is to make it easier for people to send gifts to others around the world. Working on this concept has involved thinking about more than just the website itself. I've also been exploring product integrations, payment options, and how to create a smooth experience for customers.
It's an exciting project, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it develops.
Always Exploring Something New
One thing about me is that I enjoy learning and trying new things. I'm always interested in discovering a better way to do something, exploring a new technology, or understanding an area of work I haven't fully explored before.
Beyond my professional work, I'm also interested in education and furthering my academic journey. My background is in Sociology, and I'm exploring opportunities for postgraduate study. It's a different side of my interests, but one that connects with my curiosity about people, society, and how we interact with the world around us.
I believe there's a lot to learn from combining different perspectives, and I enjoy the opportunities that come with exploring more than one field.
I also enjoy sharing knowledge and discussing experiences in the tech industry. There's so much that goes on behind the scenes when building products and working in technology, and I think those experiences are worth talking about.
So, What's This Blog About?
Honestly, I just wanted a space of my own where I could share more of what I do and the things that interest me.
I'll be writing about software development, technology, product design, business ideas, projects I'm working on, and lessons I've picked up along the way.
Sometimes, I'll share something I've built. Other times, I might write about an idea I've been thinking about, a challenge I've faced, or something new I've learned.
I don't want to restrict myself to one topic because my interests go beyond just coding. I want this blog to reflect the things I do, the things I'm learning, and the ideas I find worth sharing.
This is my first post, so I figured the best place to start was with a simple introduction.
I'm Jerry Chukundah. I'm a software developer, a builder, and someone who enjoys exploring ideas and bringing them to life.
There's still a lot I want to do, plenty more to learn, and many ideas I'd love to work on.
For now, welcome to my blog. I'm glad you're here.
WAGMI!!!
